We serve gourmet breakfast and lunch meals featuring fresh breads and other baked goods made in the café's on-site bakery in a comfortable setting with friendly, attentive service. We serve coffee roasted daily in the Land of Enhancement as well as the finest teas, specialty drinks and bottled soft drinks.

Enjoy a meal in one of our comfortable indoor dining rooms where the aroma of freshly-baked goods permeates the air. In the summer, spend time in the outdoor patio next to the restaurant listening to the waterfall while sipping on a cool drink and reading one of the many magazines and newspapers available for our customers' pleasure.

Our Story

John and Helen Daniels opened the Cornerstone Bakery Café in May 2004. Moving to Ruidoso from Austin, Texas, the Daniels built upon the original concept of the restaurant that was established by Delphine Salai, a trained pastry chef, in 2002. John is a Certified Public Accountant who worked in the software industry in Austin and Helen is a retired computer programmer from the Texas Legislative Council. The Daniels' restaurant experience was mostly as a customer, but they quickly put together a team of restaurant and bakery professionals and opened the restaurant that has proven to be a thriving, successful business that serves the residents and visitors of Ruidoso.

We bake every muffin, loaf of bread, cake and pie in our ovens from scratch. Only the freshest and highest quality will do. Our gourmet breakfasts and lunches feature quiches, homemade soups, sandwiches made with Cornerstone bread, and much more all served in a relaxing atmosphere by friendly and attentive staff.
